Jacobson Satchell Consultants' specialized approach to focusing on environmental consulting services is unique among midwest and rocky mountain professional engineering companies. The company has maintained a comprehensive approach to environmental services without diluting management and focus on the broad range of engineering services which fall under traditional civil engineering. The company focus on environmental professional consulting services is in concert with the increasing environmental awareness which is occurring nationwide. All services of the company are directly tied to improving the quality of life. The company believes that our nation's environmental problems will require extensive and innovative problem solving resources for decades to come.

In addition to basic quality of life and environmental protection issues, the public is continuing to demand higher levels of water and air quality in the face of increasing population and more demand for limited resources. The opportunities for innovative problem solving are more dramatic with each step of accomplishment.

The growing awareness produces increased emphasis of enforcement by government against anyone who fails to meet regulations. These additional pressures of economic input and negative public impact raise client expectation and demands for quality services.

McCook, Nebraska Class I Injection Well in Operation

October 15, 2009 - The Class I injection well for the City of McCook, NE was put into operation on March 1, 2009.  The injection well was constructed for disposal of the waste generated at their new 6.8 MGD water treatment facility.  The injection well was the first of its kind to be permitted and constructed in the state of Nebraska.  The design included a new building, piping, pressure gauges/transmitters, flow meters, valves, seal pot and a surge tank.  The well was initially designed to be run manually, but in order to avoid temperature fluctuations, the SCADA system was programmed to maintain a constant level in the surge tank using variable frequency drives (VFDs) on the pumps.  City staff responsible for operating the injection well attended a one day training seminar and are now certified as deep injection well operators.
